Key websites: Care and Support – Big Care Debate
In the first of a series of links to key websites of interest to the care home sector, comes this UK government website. The site provides the public facing / general audience focus for the consultation on the Green paper ‘Shaping the Future of Care Together’ and includes a video setting out the key issues.
“The Government is offering everybody the chance to have
their say on the reform of adult care and support in England. This is
the Big Care Debate.
We want to create a National Care Service that is fair, simple and
affordable. To set this process in motion, we have published a public
consultation document, or Green Paper, called Shaping the Future of Care Together.
In it we spell out the options for reform – how a new system could
be organised and paid for. We are asking everybody what they think of
these options and which ones they would like to see adopted. There are
many ways for you to get involved, this website will tell you how.”
